Logistics Manager

Brief Role:
Manage shipping department activities, including logistics, warehousing, and transportation. Monitor expenses, provide daily reports, and coordinate with other departments. Liaise with suppliers and consumers, meet performance targets, and oversee logistics operations while analyzing data for improvements.

Responsibilities:

1    Manage all the activities in the shipping department 
2    Strategically plan and manage logistics, warehouse, transportation and customer services
3    Monitor the shipping expenses
4    Provide the daily reports related to the shipping activities
5    Coordinate with the related departments for the required shipping 
6    Liaise and negotiate with suppliers, manufacturers, retailers and consumers
7    Meet cost, productivity, accuracy and timeliness targets
8    Maintain metrics and analyze data to assess performance and implement improvements
9    Supervise the logistic activities
10    Comply with the written policies, standards, rules and regulations of the Company.
11    Perform all other duties and activities assigned to them by their superiors within the realm of their knowledge provided it is not hazardous or dangerous to their person.
12    Follow health and safety regulations and procedures intended to prevent accidents or injury in workplaces or public environments.

 

Job Requirements:

Experience: 5 years of experience as a Logistics manager or similar field.
Qualification: Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Logistics or Supply Chain or related field.
Professional Certificate: Certified in Logistics, Transportation and Distribution (CLTD), Certified Professional Logistician (CPL) or similar certificates.
